Our Commitment to Child Safety
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Cedar Allied Health is committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of every child and young person we work with. We have zero tolerance for child abuse, and we take every concern about a child’s safety seriously.
What this means in practice
We want every child to feel safe, respected and listened to. That means:
- Children are told about their rights in ways that suit their age, are listened to, and are involved in decisions about their care.
- We respect each child’s culture and identity, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, children with disability, children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and LGBTIQA+ children.
- Everyone who works with children at Cedar holds a current Working with Children Check, and our psychologists are registered with Ahpra.
- We follow a code of conduct with clear professional boundaries, and we take care in every setting we work in, including telehealth and schools.
- Our psychologists are mandatory reporters, and we meet our legal obligations to report concerns.
We review how we keep children safe at least once a year. Families can ask for a copy of our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy at any time.
